Ingredients

6 medium endives (or any vegetables you like)

100 gr Swiss cheese

Mascarpone (25 cl) or Bechamel sauce

Fresh garlic or garlic powder (optional)

6 slices of ham

Directions

  1. Place the endives in a casserole dish with a little butter and cook for 30 minutes over medium heat.

You can also cook them 30 minutes in water or in the microwave at 900 W for 5 minutes, then turn the endives and cook for another 5 minutes

  2. Drain the endives

  3. Spread some Mascarpone or Bechamele sauce at the bottom of the dish

  4. Wrap each endive in a slice of ham

  5. Arrange the endives in the dish

  6. Pour over the Mascarpone or the Bechamel sauce

  7. Sprinkle with Gruyère cheese

  8. Bake for 15 minutes at 220° C (440° F)

If you don't like endives, you can replace them with other vegetables of your choice (leeks for instance).
