Endive Gratin with Ham

Ingredients
6 medium endives (or any vegetables you like)
100 gr Swiss cheese
Mascarpone (25 cl) or Bechamel sauce
Fresh garlic or garlic powder (optional)
6 slices of ham
Directions
Place the endives in a casserole dish with a little butter and cook for 30 minutes over medium heat.
You can also cook them 30 minutes in water or in the microwave at 900 W for 5 minutes, then turn the endives and cook for another 5 minutes
Drain the endives
Spread some Mascarpone or Bechamele sauce at the bottom of the dish
Wrap each endive in a slice of ham
Arrange the endives in the dish
Pour over the Mascarpone or the Bechamel sauce
Sprinkle with Gruyère cheese
Bake for 15 minutes at 220° C (440° F)
If you don't like endives, you can replace them with other vegetables of your choice (leeks for instance).
